DONNA PYGOTT

Donna is the executive director of North Raleigh Ministries, and brings more than 20 years of nonprofit experience in executive leadership, fiscal management, and operational strategy. She is a strengths-based leader with extensive knowledge in balancing programs with a sound and sustainable infrastructure. Her success comes from her ability to unify staff, volunteers, teams, and board members around a common goal: to make a difference in people’s lives.

Since 2004, North Raleigh Ministries has met the critical needs of neighbors in crisis in our community, walking alongside them every step of the way, providing food, resources, and life-changing programs using a simple, but powerful, approach:

Meet a basic need so no one goes hungry

Help individuals move from crisis to stability

Empower them to move to thriving sustainability

2020 Impact:

  • 630,000 pounds of food distributed, ensuring no one goes hungry

  • 7,200 individuals received food and needed assistance

  • 109 neighbors received case management and in-depth guidance towards stability

  • 100% of neighbors offered prayer, resources and hope

  • 9 families moved towards thriving sustainability through our new Journey Program

  • 211 students in need provided with 5,355 weekend meals through our Backpack Buddies program
